II Meetings with History and Archeology 23-25.08.2013, Wdzydze Kiszewskie

We have just returned from Wdzydze Kiszewskie from a magnificent event, hosted by Niflheim reenactment group.

We stayed there for 3 days having a lot of fun, met a lot of magnificent people and took part in the event.

Niflheim created a great event, full of viking games, battles, concerts and camp life. Absolutely worth visiting either as a reeenactor and a tourist!

Wilkomir, during treason & honour circles.

It was a helmet and Arma sword baptismal days, and they performed great, (having in mind I received a big hit on the head with an axe and the helmet is intact; the sword has slight edge damage). Unfortunately I have broken my swordsheath by falling on it with my full body weight – I was pushed forcefully by enemy warriors attakich our flank.

I “died” several times, being hit by danish axes, 1handed axes, cuman sabers and swords 🙂

Photos posted below and many many more(camplife, viking games, fireshow) can be seen here : Wdzydze Kiszewskie event gallery (photographer: Konrad Házi)

The battle.

..And a bloody but glorious fall.

Another fall during the siege.

What can I say: glory to the Niflheim for organizing such an amazing event!
